SaveME 999 1.0.4

The SaveME 999 application (hereafter referred to as the “Application”) was officially introduced to the Malaysian public as part of the Malaysian Government’s initiative to enhance emergency service management through smartphone technology.

The application features a range of functionalities, including enabling users to request emergency assistance related to fires, criminal activities, medical emergencies, humanitarian aid, maritime emergencies, and other related services within Malaysia.

Additionally, the Application can be utilized in situations where lives are at risk or property and the environment may be damaged, providing a vital tool for urgent response.

Special consideration has been given to accessibility; the Application is designed to support visually impaired (blind) and hearing-impaired (deaf) individuals requiring emergency assistance. Public users can also input supplementary information such as text, voice recordings, images, or videos to facilitate prompt and efficient response from emergency agencies.

The Application and associated data are owned by the Government of Malaysia and managed by the Ministry of Communications. In line with national aspirations towards digital transformation, the Application has been updated with new features that aim to improve emergency service management through more digital, efficient, and effective means.
